Rosalux Gallery is an artist collective that opened with 12
members in February of 2002 in Northeast Minneapolis. Its mission
was to provide a commercial exhibition space for its member
artists. Rosalux grew into a gallery where artists could make
decisions about how their work was shown and promoted. Because
all artists in the gallery are responsible for the gallery
and its operations, all profits from sales go to the artist.
This keeps artwork priced reasonably for the public and profitable
for the artist.

by architect Frank Gehry, the Weisman Art Museum offers an educational

early 20th century American artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe and

The MMAA was founded as an art school in 1927, when it formally
incorporated as The Saint Paul School of Art. Collecting works
of art, for instructional purposes, began in the late 1930’s.
Over time, the acquisition of additional paintings, works on paper,
sculpture, and studio crafts expanded the School’s collection
and, in 1969, the then Saint Paul Art Center was renamed the Minnesota
Museum of Art. By the early 1980’s, the institution’s
primary emphasis had shifted to exhibitions and research while
still providing popular education programs.

Art-A-Whirl is an open-studio and gallery tour of Northeast Minneapolis.
It is an enticing event that calls and welcomes local and regional
visitors who want to see the art being produced in NE. NEMAA is

As visitors come to see the art, they also experience the NE Community.
More than 400 artists participate in AAW, including potters, tile
