Heather McElhatton is an independent radio producer and host for
Minnesota Public Radio and
Public Radio International.
Her novel, Pretty Little Mistakes (out
in May, from Harper Collins), is the first choose-your-own-adventure
novel for adults. It's also her first published novel, but not the
first one she's written. Here, she talks fate, choice, writing maniacally
and how it feels to rise from the ashes of your own perceived failures
and then write a book that allows the reader to both fail and succeed.
