About the Artist Rennie Sparks lives in Albuqurque, New Mexico and performs music with her husband Brett in The Handsome Family. Her paintings are acrylic on stretched canvas and signed "RS". The frames are wood with heavily-varnished black bean appliqués. She makes teh frames herself and the back of each frame has been strung with wire so that all paintings are ready to hang.
